From November 28th to December 2nd, at the first Chain Expo, CDTL (Hangzhou Contemporary Drive Technology Co.,LTD.) presented a variety of distributed drive products and exhibited for the first time a new chassis architecture solution with "distributed drive + EMB" as the core.

During the exhibition, this new chassis architecture solution with distributed drive + EMB as the core attracted the attention of many professional visitors and media.

The core of this chassis architecture is the realization of technological decentralization replacing the engine, gearbox, load-bearing parts also brake parts of traditional cars. It is controlled, driven and braked by a distributed drive + EMB with a more integrated structure and wider operational functions. The form of distributed drive + distributed brake gives the vehicle more control freedom, a larger space for free layout, lighter weight, higher driving safety and lower energy consumption.

Taking the 49T heavy truck trunk logistics model as an example, distributed drive + EMB has faster response speed and higher response accuracy than traditional air brakes.The braking distance can be shortened by 10m when braking at an initial speed of 100km/h; the chassis layout space is greatly saved, up to 40%; the system weight is reduced by nearly 50%; the side slip distance of a double trailer is shortened by nearly 3 meters when braking.
This structure has been successfully commercialized in CRRC trackless rubber-tyred subways, COMAC large aircraft test equipment and new generation heavy truck trunk logistics models.

Distributed drive axle
CDTL distributed drive system uses dual motor drive, which can realize independent control of left and right wheels, also integrates functions such as EASR/IESS. It has higher redundancy and makes the vehicle safer to drive on slippery roads such as rain and snow.

The 9T independent suspension wheel-side electric drive axle EA1100K customized and developed according for CRRC's needs, has achieved a technological breakthrough in distributed wire control, drive and braking for new energy commercial vehicles. It has also achieved domestic substitution.

This product has been applied in batches in China's CRRC trackless rubber tire subway and has been exported to Southeast Asian countries. The product adopts a distributed drive mode, which is convenient for expansion and grouping, also has a flexible configuration. It can achieve 100% flooring and the width of the in-car passage is greater than 800mm, which greatly increases the passenger capacity.

The distributed electric drive axle EA5000N developed for heavy-duty truck tractors has gone through three years of development and verification, and has undergone 15,000 kilometers of enhanced durability testing. The product is mature & reliable and has been applied in batches for the overseas market.

Compared with the mid-drive, this product is lighter, with the system weight reduced by more than 23%; it takes up less space, with the entire bridge width <690mm; the ground clearance is larger with the height of 324mm.

Distributed electric drive axles used in buses: EA2100N and EA1400K have also attracted the attention of a large number of overseas customers.

At present, the products have been installed in batches in China and abroad, also exported to Europe, the Middle East, Russia and other regions, also have been highly praised by customers.
